Growing up in Florence, it was inevitable for Silvia to be surrounded by wine culture. After working for a food and wine marketing agency, in 2013 she moved to London where she became fully involved in the avid and energising wine culture. She worked at Bedales Wines as a wine specialist whilst studying for her WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Level 3 and WSET Educator Certificate.
A trip to South Africa was all it took to shake up her previous relationship with wine. Travelling through the diverse landscapes, she was able to recognise that wine is indeed a very rooted product, which at times might be forgotten. Silvia is now studying for her WSET Diploma and has recently joined the education department of Berkmann Wine Cellars called Veraison, leading wine trainings tailored for hospitality as well as WSET courses.
